ABOUT US
In 1972 our founders, Robert and Merry Haggard, set out to bring artful casting back into the urban environment. Inspired by Louis Sullivan’s adornments that were seen on his iconic buildings, Robert created some of our most enduring designs. The OT, Eco, and Standard Flat were the first designs being pulled of out the small foundry in small batches. Over the years many things have changed and as architecture has evolved, we have evolved with it. Robert’s original designs live on in our Heritage Series and our commitment to being the designer’s foundry remains a driving force as we continue to bring uncompromising design and craftsmanship to everything we do.
Throughout the past 50 years we have gone from pouring metal in a small barn in Sultan with a make-shift furnace, to a small foundry in Woodinville, and now we occupy 60,000 square feet in the heart of Tacoma, Washington. Despite our growth we have always remained committed to quality, sustainability, and originality.
Over the years we have worked with some amazing clients on some of the biggest projects in the US. You can find our work in places like Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco, Rockefeller Plaza in New York, the Yerba Buena Community Benefit District in San Francisco, the Seattle Arboretum, and countless other places where the highest attention to detail was required.
